GRAVEL & BIKEPACKING EXPERIENCE IN COSTA DAURADA (TARRAGONA)
Defy Tarraco Challenge is a unique gravel & bikepacking route on the Costa Daurada, crossing the province of Tarragona through spectacular landscapes, historic towns, and varied terrains that will challenge any adventure cyclist.
This long-distance journey is organized around 12 strategic Check Points, connecting iconic places with a legendary backdrop from a glorious past, full of splendor, such as the Roman Empire in Tarraco.

*The route consists of 11 places to visit or CP’s. The cyclist chooses where to start, and that point will have two checks (START for the first CP and FINISH to conclude the journey).
Once finished, participants must send the brevet card to the organizer for validation and to be considered a FINISHER.
The route winds from the Mediterranean coast to the mountains of Priorat and Els Ports, passing through the Roman ruins of one of the most important cities of ancient Rome in the Iberian Peninsula, visiting medieval castles, historic monasteries, and dirt roads that have witnessed ancient legends. Each Check Point symbolizes a fragment of history, challenging cyclists to face their own endurance and determination as they travel forgotten paths and lonely roads.
From the historic ruins of Tarragona to the vineyards of Priorat, the forests of Prades, and the valleys of the Ebro Delta, Defy Tarraco Challenge is more than just a route: it is a journey through time, history, and mythology, where each pedal stroke brings the cyclist closer to the indomitable spirit of this legendary territory.
